HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
IDERA, a leading provider of database lifecycle management solutions, today announced the newest release of Uptime Cloud Monitor. The updated product integrates 16 new AWS services, bringing the total to 22 and making Uptime Cloud Monitor the most comprehensive view of AWS services and infrastructure in the market.
Prior to this release, Uptime Cloud Monitor covered Billing Information, Elasticache, DynamoDB, Elastic Book Store, Elastic Cloud Compute and Relational Database Service, with the latter two ranking among the top six most-used AWS services, according to recent usage data. Four others in the top six include Simple Storage Service, Simple Queue Service, Route 53 DNS and Simple Notification Service, and are among the 16 newly added services that ensure as users grow and diversify their AWS footprint, Uptime Cloud Monitor grows with them.
“Since many of our customers use AWS to power their infrastructures, integrating more AWS metrics into our existing monitoring capabilities adds value and visibility for users,” said Beth Chauvin, product manager at IDERA. “Uptime Cloud Monitor is the ideal solution for a hybrid environment, including on premises servers and others hosted in the cloud. If someone is transitioning part of their server environment to the cloud, they can have critical AWS metrics at their disposal. Plus, our on-demand pricing allows customers to only pay for what they use, providing extensive monitoring benefits without enterprise-level costs.”
With the installation of Uptime Cloud Monitor’s lightweight agents, data can be collected more frequently, enabling users to perform real-time troubleshooting as errors and issues arise. Uptime Cloud Monitor can display, alert and store AWS metrics for up to one year, allowing for true historical trending. The updated product also offers a unified custom dashboard that is easy to navigate, allowing users to view 22 AWS services at-a-glance without switching to other applications.
“Uptime Cloud Monitor is a great AWS monitoring tool. No other monitoring software is able to accomplish what the IDERA solution can do,” said David Moore, operations manager at OneCloud Systems.

CORRECTING and REPLACING VIDEO Zoetis Receives FDA Approval for SimparicaTM (sarolaner) Chewables, a Once-Monthly Flea and Tick Medication for Dogs
FLORHAM PARK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
The b-roll video component of this multimedia news release has been updated and now includes the correct product packaging image for SimparicaTM. Please use this updated b-roll in communications related to this announcement.
“Simparica is exciting for two reasons: it acts fast to kill fleas and ticks, and it maintains its efficacy all month long providing veterinarians and dog owners with confidence in continuous protection,” said Chris Adolph, DVM, DACVM (Parasitology), Zoetis. “Simparica kills fleas before they can reproduce and create a home infestation, and it kills ticks fast, which may help to reduce the likelihood of transferring pathogens that can cause tick-borne disease. Simparica continues to perform well, even on the last day of the month, whereas some of the other flea and tick products drop in efficacy at the end of their treatment period.”
“Simparica is the result of the collaboration of Zoetis scientists worldwide who share a commitment to develop innovative medicines that help address the most pressing needs of our veterinary customers and the animals in their care,” said Dr. Catherine Knupp, executive vice president and president, Research and Development at Zoetis. “We are excited to bring Simparica to veterinarians and dog owners in the United States.”
The global market for antiparasitics in pets was over $4.2 billion in 2014, with a compound annual growth rate of 5% over the previous five years, driven largely by growth of new oral products, according to Vetnosis.2
Simparica: A New Ectoparasiticide from Zoetis
The active substance of Simparica is sarolaner, a new ectoparasiticide in the isoxazoline class, discovered and developed by Zoetis scientists. Simparica underwent extensive field safety and efficacy testing involving more than 900 dogs over a two- or three-month period. The dogs in these studies included both genders and many different breeds.1
Clinical studies showed this isoxazoline started killing fleas in three hours, virtually eliminated fleas within eight hours, and it reduced the number of live fleas from ≥96.2% to 100% through day 35.1 Simparica’s rapid onset of action means that fleas are killed before they have a chance to lay eggs,1 preventing home infestations and providing relief to dogs suffering with flea allergy dermatitis.1 Studies also showed that Simparica started killing ticks in eight hours,5 remaining ≥96.9% effective for 35 days against weekly re-infestations.6-9
Simparica Killed Fleas Faster Than NexGard®. In a comparative study, Simparica killed fleas faster than NexGard® throughout the entire month. Simparica showed almost 100% flea kill eight hours after infestation, even at day 35, while NexGard® started declining below 90% as early as day 21.4
Simparica Killed Ticks Faster Than NexGard®. In a comparative study, Simparica killed ticks faster than NexGard® throughout the entire month. Simparica maintained more than 90% effectiveness against the brown dog tick 24 hours after infestation at day 35, while efficacy for NexGard® decreased to less than 80% by day 14.10
Simparica comes in a highly palatable liver-flavored chewable tablet. Zoetis expects to make Simparica available to veterinarians and pet owners in March 2016. The tablets will be available in 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 80 mg, and 120 mg dosage strengths.

Pent up dollar demand by jewellers to exert pressure on rupee: Experts
Mumbai, March 26 (IANS) Pent up demand for US dollars by the jewellery
sector, coupled with a weak Chinese yuan, are expected to exert pressure
on the Indian rupee during the upcoming week, experts said on Saturday.
"Keep an eye out for the bullion users, as once they get back to work, we can see a lot of pent up demand from these guys to emerge. This demand, along with demand from central bank can exert an upward pressure on dollar/rupee (pair)," Anindya Banerjee, associate vice president for currency derivatives with Kotak Securities, told IANS.
A sizeable section of jewellery industry players have been on strike against a proposed one percent hike in excise duty on non-silver jewellery in the union budget for 2016-17.
They have been on strike since March 2. The central government has constituted a panel to look into their demands.
"Chinese yuan has begun weakening which should be an added negative for rupee as well. We see USD/INR trade between 66.30-50 and 67.00/67-20 levels for the next week," Banerjee cited.
According to Banerjee, despite a mid-week sell-off towards 66.93, rupee managed to close nearly flat, due to relentless selling of US dollars from fronts like IT (information technology) companies.
"Demand for US dollars from RBI (Reserve Bank of India) has managed to build a floor under the US dollar for the moment, around 66.40-50 levels on spot," Banerjee elaborated.
"However going into the final quarter of the year, we can see more selling from large exporters."
During the truncated week ended March 23, the rupee weakened by 12 paise. The domestic currency markets were closed on Thursday-Friday, on account of Holi and Good Friday.
On a weekly basis, the rupee weakened by 12 paise to 66.62-63 (March 23) against a US dollar from its previous close of 66.50-51 (March 18) to a greenback.
Other analysts, attributed the rupee weakness on a strong US dollar. The US dollar has strengthened on the back of increased chances of a hike in US interest rates in April.
Even the Brussels attacks led investors to park their funds in safe assets like the US dollar.
Anand James, co-head, technical research desk with Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services, told IANS: "The US dollar rose due to its appeal as a safe haven asset, pushing rupee towards the 67 mark."
However, there was an increased inflows by the foreign investors in the country's equity and bond markets.
The National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) figures showed that the FPIs (Foreign Portfolio Investors) bought Rs.6,340.82 crore or $952.79 million in the equity and debt markets from March 21-23.
Data with stock exchanges disclosed that the FPIs invested in stocks worth Rs.3,468.68 crore during the week under review.
According to Hiren Sharma, senior vice president, currency advisory at Anand Rathi Financial Services, US Federal Reserve's slow rate vision and expansion of ECB's (European Central Bank) bond purchase program has motivated global equity investors.
"A revival in crude oil price has instigated a risk on mood presently. Since March 1st, a net of $1.6 billion inflow (mostly in equity) has come into India," Sharma told IANS.
"Rupee has a very strong support at 66.50-40 and resistance around 66.80-67.10. It is expected to remain in this range for penultimate week of FY15-16."

Shutdown observed in Himachal against excise duty on jewellery
Shimla, March 26 (IANS) Shops and commercial establishments were shut in
nearly all towns of Himachal on Saturday, as traders protested against
the union budgetary proposal to impose one percent excise duty on
non-silver jewellery.
There was, however, no report of violence anywhere, a police official said.
The city's business hub The Mall wore a deserted look with shopkeepers joining the All-India strike by the trading community to protest against the excise duty.

Immunetics BacTx® Test Helps Hospitals Meet FDA Proposed Changes in Platelet Bacteria Testing Practices
Immunetics today announced that the FDA has published updated Draft
Guidance for Industry - “Bacterial Risk Control Strategies for Blood
Collection Establishments and Transfusion Services to Enhance the Safety
and Availability of Platelets for Transfusion”. The proposed changes by
the FDA in platelet bacteria testing practices cited the risks of
bacterial contamination of platelets and the critical need for means to
mitigate these risks. Immunetics BacTx® Technology provides
hospitals with a rapid, low cost, and proven solution to meet this new
guidance.
The point-of-issue BacTx® test allows hospitals to readily facilitate efficient testing of platelets with a rapid testing system for bacterial detection that meets the proposed FDA Guidance. The result is a safer platelet supply, providing transfusion services with a “last look” at the platelet unit just prior to transfusion.
Platelets are associated with a higher risk of sepsis and related fatalities than any other transfusable blood component. In the United States today, blood collection facilities must adhere to AABB Guidelines calling for every platelet to be tested using an FDA approved device. However, the risk of bacterial infection persists- the primary issue being sampling error, as most testing occurs early in the life of the platelet unit when bacteria counts may be too low to be captured during routine sampling. In the updated March 2016 Guidance document, the FDA indicates the need to improve the safety of platelet transfusions by secondary bacterial testing, and confirms that use of a rapid assay such as the BacTx® test closer to the point of transfusion may mitigate these risks.
About Immunetics:
Immunetics Inc. offers state-of-the-art assay technology for infectious disease diagnosis and blood screening, and for more than ten years has been a leading innovator of tests for bacterial, viral, and parasitic diseases. Immunetics is headquartered in Boston. The company’s mission is to deliver better, cost-efficient care through more accurate diagnosis.

Lease-End Residual Risk: Fitch's analysis of auto lease securitizations places a large focus on RV risk (see page 8). Fitch's RV risk analysis is driven by the issuer's historical RV loss rates and the potential volatility of the future used vehicle market. Historical worst case 12-18 month observations set the 'BBsf' rating level, with increased residual realization stresses given to investment-grade ratings, as described in this report.
Forward-Looking Approach to Loss Proxy: The credit risk analysis of auto leases is consistent with the approach for auto loan ABS. Fitch derives its base case credit loss proxy by examining fully amortized historical vintage loss curves, extrapolating incomplete vintage curves, matching future expectations with any relevant previous vintage data, and weighting by relevant pool credit characteristics. Additionally, a margin of safety is built into the base case by weighting previous recessionary vintages and adding adjustments for future unemployment expectations and/or wholesale vehicle market conditions, where applicable.
Concentration Risks: Auto lease pools and, notably, residual loss performance can be impacted by concentrations in the underlying leases or vehicles. Concentrations in vehicle model or segment can expose the trust to idiosyncratic risks affecting specific vehicle types. Additionally, material concentrations in the timing of lease maturities can expose the ABS performance disproportionately to periods of elevated residual losses. Fitch's quantitative analysis accounts for concentration risks, as described in this report.
Counterparty Exposures: Counterparty exposures can pose a risk to transactions if the relevant counterparties are a source of credit or performance weakness. Fitch's analysis includes a review of counterparties in accordance with our counterparty criteria titled 'Counterparty Criteria for Structured Finance and Covered Bonds' (published May 2014).
Seller/Servicer Operational Reviews: Disruption to servicing is a potential risk to the performance of auto loan ABS transactions. Fitch's analysis includes a review of the corporate and operational activities (originations, underwriting and servicing) of the seller/servicer(s) to assess operational risks and the ability of the servicer to assume the servicing role for the transaction.
Macroeconomic Risks: The economic environment can have a material impact and auto lease ABS ratings. Fitch takes into consideration the strength of the economy, as well as future expectations, by assessing key macroeconomic indicators correlated with lease performance (e.g. unemployment).
